AMA warns citizens: "AlbKanale" out of order, do not make any more payments on this application

The Audiovisual Media Authority has warned the public about a fraudulent scheme related to the pirate application "AlbKanale", which, according to the AMA, was distributing copyrighted television content and packages without authorization.

AMA announces that the application was blocked on August 11, 2026, following a monitoring and technical analysis process carried out by the institution's inspection groups. The focus of the intervention was the unauthorized broadcasts of Digitalb and Tring packages, TV Klan and RTSH channels, as well as sports content.

After the service was interrupted, the operators of "AlbKanale" claimed to have been victims of a cyberattack and asked users to contribute financially to restore the service, including payments in cryptocurrencies.

Given this situation, the Audiovisual Media Authority warns citizens not to send funds to their address because "AlbKanale" is not out of operation due to a cyberattack, but as a result of AMA's intervention against a service that was broadcasting content without rights.

AMA Chairwoman Armela Krasniqi calls on users not to make payments or contributions in cryptocurrencies, arguing that such transactions are irreversible and that funding pirated services supports an illegal activity.

The processes carried out by inspection teams include; monitoring network traffic, analyzing the flow of transmissions, identifying source servers, and collaborating with international operators to report violations.

The Audiovisual Media Authority reiterates its commitment to continuing the fight against audiovisual piracy and urges citizens to choose licensed operators and services.
