Kosovo in mourning, Flora Brovina passes away at the age of 76

Flora Brovina passed away this Tuesday at the age of 76. She was a pediatrician, poet, and human rights activist, known for her commitment to protecting the rights of women and children in Kosovo.

During the war in Kosovo, she was one of the important figures in organizing aid for civilians and victims of violence. Brovina founded and directed the Center for the Protection of Women and Children in Pristina, which provided medical and psychological assistance to women and children affected by violence and the consequences of the war.

After the end of the war, Flora continued her engagement in politics, being elected as a member of the Kosovo Assembly in 2001 and throughout her political career she remained active in promoting and protecting the rights of women and children.

Her passing has left a great pain in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues and all those who knew and appreciated her. Flora Brovina has left behind an important contribution and mark for the Kosovar people.
