Journalist Ola Xama stated on the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV that Veliaj's arrest is not related to the fact that Trump's campaign manager has come to Albania, as is being reported by the opposition. According to Xama, there has been pressure on prosecutors, as evidenced by the suspicions of obstruction of investigations by Klotilda Bushka of the Socialist Party.
"They are prosecutors and of course there is interference from Albanian institutions. It has also been recorded for Bushka, the chairwoman of the Laws Commission, who is said to have taken actions that hinder the discovery of the truth."
It doesn't seem to me that the court's decision is related to the DP's visit or the news that Trump's campaign manager has come to Albania, but it is known that Veliaj is an important politician and the pressure being exerted is very great.
