During the discussion, Kikia argued that LaCivita is a professional campaigner and that politics for him is a business, not diplomacy. “He has a business in politics, he is not a diplomat,” Kikia said.
In response, Lela emphasized that LaCivita is not an ordinary businessman, but an important figure in American politics. "He is the chairman of the American Republican Council, he is not a businessman. He does not come from the street. Do not try to shrink a fact that is big there. He is like being the chairman of the Democratic Party here, he is the chairman of the Republican Party," Lela said.
Kikia insisted that he had not denied the importance of LaCivita, but saw his involvement as an economically motivated engagement . “We did not say he comes from the street. You described a person who is on an economic mission here,” he said.
