Ervin Salianji's "message" to Berisha and Noka from Himara:

Democratic politician Ervin Salianji was in the city of Himara this Thursday, where he met with the secretary of the Democratic Party branch, the two former branch chairmen, the former candidate for Mayor, and the leader of the former politically persecuted.

He says he has heard the real concerns of Democrats regarding the farce that has unfolded in this branch and emphasizes that what is happening in Himara is unacceptable for any democrat who believes in principles and a free vote.

As one of the critical voices in the DP who is now reported to have been expelled from the party, Ervin Salianji has sent a clear "message" to Sali Berisha and Flamur Noka, as to who the real owners of the largest opposition party are.

"Democrats decide. Democrats must be heard. They are the owners of the Democratic Party and the greatest sacrificers in the face of the regime. Without respect for the membership, there is no moral opposition; without internal democracy, there is no credibility in the face of citizens," the former MP writes.

Ervin Salianji continues with his parallelism, when he says that if Edi Rama and his government have devastated Albania through misgovernment, it is unacceptable that the leadership that today leads the Democrats destroys the competitions, to pilot mayors without asking the membership.

The worst thing that is happening, he emphasizes, is the exclusion of members and leaders of structures from decision-making. "The Democratic Party should be the model of moral superiority in front of the government," writes Ervin Salianji.
