The arrest of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj has highlighted the luxurious life lived by the Veliaj Xoxa couple.
In the announcement of Mayor Veliaj's arrest, SPAK announced that his wife, Ajola Xoxa, has spent over 860 million old lek on clothing and jewelry over four years.
SPAK further adds that these expenses are not declared in any of the Periodic Declarations of Veliaj or persons related to him.
" AX, himself or through other persons close to him, for a period of about 4 years, has made online purchases consisting of clothing, jewelry, etc., in the amount of 86,721,175 lekë. These expenses are not declared in any of the Periodic Declarations of the head of the Municipality of Tirana as well as the persons related to him ," SPAK's announcement states.
