Mirela Karabina: Students between uncertainty and a failed reform in Higher

The Euro-Atlantic Coalition candidate for the Elbasan district, Mirela Karabina, held a meeting with Social Service students, discussing their challenges and the uncertainty that the failed reform in Higher Education has created for them.

According to Karabina, students feel uncertain about the value of their diploma in the job market, facing a confusing system between professional and scientific masters. The requirement for a year of work to obtain a license, the lack of jobs and low salaries, have made leaving the country the main alternative for young Albanians.

"This is Albanian youth wandering between years at university and in the end nothing is certain. This is the result of government corruption and a failed reform that has left students at the mercy of fate," Karabina says.

It calls for a vote on May 11 to punish a government that has failed to provide quality education and guaranteed employment for young people. The Euro-Atlantic Coalition aims to bring a new alternative, linking education to the labor market and guaranteeing quality education and employment for Albanian youth.

"Young people deserve more! Albania deserves more!" she concludes.

Carbine Post:

The failed reform in Higher Education leaves students in the middle of the road.

Today, we spoke with a group of Social Service students in Elbasan and they raised concerns about the ambiguity and uncertainty of the value of their diploma in the market.
The cacophony of professional master's or scientific master's degrees, their difference and value, you need a year of work after school, there is no job, without work you can't get a license, without a license you can't find a job.
And then they say why do young people leave?!
Even if you find a job as a social worker, you don't even know how much the master's degree is worth, which master's degree is professional or scientific, then the salary doesn't even come out for yourself, let alone building a family, and the uncertainty is at its maximum level.
Their concern is real and great, but even greater for families who will still have to invest and don't know until when.
This is the Albanian youth who wander through 5 or 6 years at universities and nothing is certain, because the market and the categorization of the diploma with
the job have no connection.
This is the result of Edi Rama's failed Higher Education Reform, of government corruption and leaving students at the mercy of fate.
The consequences?
Fatal for the future of the country!
This government should be stopped an hour ago.
The May 11 vote should be for these students, pupils and children!
The May 11 vote should punish the corrupt politicians of the Rama government and others in order to stop the evil that has gripped the country and pave the way for the country's European development!
The Euro-Atlantic Coalition is the alternative for young people, their quality education and employment.
What a beautiful time it is to talk to students!
But it is even more beautiful when you take responsibility for being part of solving their life problems.
Young people deserve more
Albania deserves more
