Journalist Glidona Daci states that in statements given to SPAK prosecutors, Ajola Xoxa's economist says that from time to time she had difficulties with 500 Euro notes because they were moldy or heavily used, which created difficulties in converting them into cash.

Invited to the show "Opinion", journalist Daci shared other details regarding the investigative file that led to the arrest of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj and the "house arrest" of his wife, Ajola Xoxa.

Glidona Daci:  According to SPAK, the sponsorships made by the businessmen coincided with the time when they had applied to receive a building permit at the Municipality of Tirana. According to SPAK, it is suspected that the sponsorships went for personal expenses. They were paid through different companies. We have the businessman Gentian Sula who claimed that he gave the money as a loan to Ajola Xoxa for the purchase of an apartment.

Meanwhile, an interesting detail related to the transactions, or to the money that was found, besides the fact that they were 500 Euro notes, at one point in the statements given to SPAK prosecutors, the Xoxa economist says that "from time to time I had difficulties with the 500 Euro notes because they were either moldy, or very used and difficult to convert into cash when I had to make payments."
