Tax System in Collapse: Thousands of Invoices Are Received, but Not Taxed

Thousands of invoices issued by businesses and accepted by the system are found to be untaxed. A few days after the first world award for cybersecurity, Albania marks another major digital "achievement".
This time it is the electronic tax system, which, although it accepts invoices issued by businesses, does not fiscalize them. This makes it impossible for the receiving businesses to pay them.
Currently, the fiscalization system is being maintained by Albanian Digital Solution, the state-owned company created by AKSHI. This company, which will have a monopoly on tenders in information technology, is currently maintaining all of the state's computer systems, whose contracts with private companies have ended.
Since the AKSHI scandal broke, the Albanian government has blocked virtually every tender for information technology. This has led to the termination of contracts for the systems of many institutions, which they had with private companies. Consequently, their maintenance is being done by Albanian Digital Solution, but many systems are showing problems.
The fiscalization system is probably the one that affects the most citizens, as not fiscalizing bills makes it impossible to pay them. Sources from within the company told Kapital that the system has not been synchronized for a week, causing problems with the fiscalization of bills.
The fiscalization system is maintained by a private company called Primus Adriatic, which is owned by the Croatian Primus Adriatic. After the contract expired, AKSHI opened a tender last year for the maintenance of the system for the next 4 years, but after the SPAK file for AKSHI exploded, the tender was blocked and has not been implemented yet./ Kapitali
