The International Boxing Federation excludes Imane Khelif from the World Championships

Is it a woman or a man? This question that created controversy and tarnished Imane Khelif's gold medal at the Olympic Games has once again come into focus.
A few months after her triumph in Paris, the Algerian boxer has been excluded from the World Championships that will take place in Niš, Serbia, from March 8 to 16.
The decision was made by the International Boxing Federation, which has once again banned the athlete due to high testosterone levels and the presence of the male XY chromosome in her body.
After the latest tests, Imane Khelif has not received her fitness passport, once again raising doubts about her gender.
Also, this decision comes just days after President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning transgender athletes from participating in women's sports competitions.
This is not the first time Imane Khelif has been banned from tournaments.
Last year, the International Boxing Federation made the same decision, but the World Olympic Committee, which operates under different rules, accepted her at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where she won the gold medal in women's middleweight boxing.
