Police officer Altin Kryeziu did not win the battle for his life. After seven days of fighting in the hospital, he passed away today as a result of the serious injuries he sustained in the August 16 accident in Malisheva, while he was on duty.

Kosovo media reports that the person suspected of causing the serious accident is Faton Gecaj, 27, who was arrested immediately after the incident.

We recall that the accident occurred on August 16, at around 8:20 PM, on "Ibrahim Mazreku" street in Malisheva.

Altin Kryeziu suffered very serious injuries and was sent for treatment to UCCK, where doctors tried to save his life.

Five other people were also injured in the accident. According to initial information, their injuries were minor and their lives were not in danger.
