Institutional crisis in Kosovo/PDK and Alliance: Kurti is holding the Parliament hostage

The institutional situation in Kosovo continues to be at the center of political clashes, as PDK and Alliance MPs have criticized the Vetëvendosje Movement and the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, for blocking the process of constituting the Assembly.
From the Parliament podium, PDK MP Sala Jashari called on the chair of the session, Avni Dehari, to restore the process in accordance with the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure.
Jashari said that MPs should not evade the responsibility that citizens have given them, by demanding the continuation of the constitutive session.
"Do not give up on the mandate that the citizens have given you. I am asking you to respect it. Return to responsibility. Return to institutions. Return to work. Because Kosovo needs more trust between the hands that build it. And Kosovo does not have time to wait," she declared.
The PDK MP also leveled accusations against Kurti and LVV, claiming that the central government is gaining more and more powers and is attempting to expand its influence at the local level.
" Is this a lack of trust in local institutions, or is it a desire to have more and more power?" Jashari asked.
She announced that PDK will again address the chairman of the session with the request that the continuation of the constitutive session be called within 48 hours.
Alliance: Parliament is being blocked
Criticism of LVV and Kurti also came from Alliance MP Teuta Haxhiu.
She accused the acting Prime Minister of keeping the Parliament blocked, describing the situation as a serious institutional crisis.
" MP Kurti continues to keep the Parliament blocked. Kosovo is facing a serious institutional crisis," Haxhiu declared.
According to her, there is also a risk that the current political situation will lead the country towards new elections.
Haxhiu also raised accusations regarding the issue of train wagons sent for renovation to Serbia, describing this as a form of institutional cooperation with Belgrade.
" Citizens have never believed that this Government, a few months after the murder of Sergeant Enver Zymberaj, would go to Serbia and fix wagons ," she said.
Meanwhile, the other Alliance MP, Time Kadrijaj, called on Kurti to return to the Assembly together with the LVV MPs.
The latest clashes come at a time when the process of constituting the Assembly continues to remain blocked, increasing political pressure on the parties to find an institutional solution.
