Legendary British singer Bonnie Tyler dies at 75

Renowned British singer Bonnie Tyler has passed away at the age of 75. The news was announced by her family and team through an official statement, which states that the artist passed away suddenly in a hospital in Portugal, following an illness for which she was receiving treatment.

"Bonnie's family and team are deeply saddened to announce that Bonnie passed away unexpectedly last night in a hospital in Portugal, as a result of the illness for which she was being treated," the statement said, while the family has requested privacy during this difficult time.

The singer's health problems began several months ago. In May, she was rushed to a hospital in Faro, Portugal, where she underwent emergency bowel surgery and was then placed in an induced coma to aid her recovery.

Earlier, her representatives had announced that the singer had woken up from her coma, but her condition remained critical and she continued to be treated in intensive care. Doctors had expressed optimism about her improvement, warning that recovery would be slow.

Due to her health condition, several dates of her summer tour were canceled or postponed, while her team hoped that the concerts could take place at a later date.

Despite hopes for an improvement, Bonnie Tyler passed away in the hospital where she was receiving treatment in Portugal, leaving behind a long career and an important legacy in international music.
