The State Police has revealed further details regarding the deportation of Sokol Hoxha from the United States to Albania, accused of three murders.
According to the State Police, the 51-year-old arrived this morning at Rinas airport, following the finalization of the international operation codenamed "Globi". Hoxha was arrested in Ohio on May 5, 2026, thanks to the cooperation between Albanian, American, British and Belgian authorities.
"This citizen, in 2000, was sentenced by the Fier Court to 25 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Murder", committed in collaboration, after on 30.03.1997, in Patos, Fier, in collaboration with citizen DS, he killed citizens HB and IB (brothers) with a firearm, for weak motives.
Also, in 2010, he was sentenced by the Court of Brussels, Belgium, to life imprisonment for the criminal offense of "Intentional Murder", after on 29.08.1997, he killed with a firearm, in Brussels, an Albanian citizen, whom he had previously exploited for prostitution , the police announced.
In its announcement, the State Police announced that the deportation was carried out in cooperation with the Diplomatic Security Service of the US Embassy in Tirana (DSS), Interpol Tirana, Interpol Washington, Interpol Brussels, Interpol Manchester, the US Marshals and ICE-ERO.
