Armed taxi driver arrested in Tirana for driving around armed

A young man has been arrested by the Tirana Police, after he was traveling with a firearm as a passenger in a taxi. As part of the operation codenamed "Backseat", citizen Klodjan Shupli , 22 years old, was arrested .
"The "Eagle" Special Forces, after receiving information that a citizen was traveling armed in a taxi to avoid police checks, organized the police operation codenamed "Backseat". As a result of the operational actions, at Bulevardi i Ri, the taxi in which the citizen K. Sh., 22 years old, was traveling was stopped. During the physical search, 1 firearm, a pistol, was found and seized." - states the capital's blues' announcement.
The young man is accused of the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", while the materials have been referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
