Santorini finds no "calm", hit again by earthquakes

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited today the island of Santorini, currently in a state of crisis after a series of earthquakes that have been hitting the Cyclades archipelago since Saturday, according to the Greek news agency "Ana Mpa".

According to the prime minister, there is a possibility of a landslide on the island. Mitsotakis offered 3 million euros for the construction of a port on Santorini. About 12,000 people have left the island.

Meanwhile, a new earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale was recorded this morning at around 07:00, 227 km southeast of Athens.

According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the sea area 23 km southwest of Arkesini near the island of Amorgos.

Also this night, other tremors were recorded in the region of Achaea, Elis and in the Aetolia-Acarnania area.
