Security measure at GJKKO for Ergys Agasin / SPAK requests "prison arrest", journalist reveals details from the hearing

Ergys Agasi was escorted today to the premises of the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO), where he is being informed of the security measure previously imposed on him in absentia, following the arrest carried out two days ago in the Plepave area of Durrës.
The session, which started at 09:30, was interrupted by a request from the legal defense in order to familiarize themselves with the acts of the file. After the session resumed, special prosecutor Bledar Maksuti requested that the measure of "arrest in prison" remain in force, reasoning that there is a high risk that the suspect will evade justice, given the fact that he has been on the run for eight months.
SPAK suspects Agas of being the head of a structured criminal group operating within the National Agency for the Information Society (AKSHI), in collaboration with citizen Ermal Beqiri. He is charged with illegal competition through violence, illegal deprivation of liberty, money laundering and violation of equality in tenders, with the aim of forcing rivals to withdraw from public competitions.
The defense attorney has requested a lighter security measure, claiming that his client has not been implicated in criminal activity and has not managed public money.
Regarding his arrest, former police officer Uljan Shpataraku was also in the vehicle with Agas, who will appear before the Criminal Court tomorrow on charges of supporting the perpetrator of the crime. The State Police has also suspended two officers of the "Eagle" forces after several photos of the arrested man were leaked inside police premises.
