EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos has given a message for the May 11 elections, saying that it is Albanian citizens who will decide on the next government.
The senior EU official believes that the May 11 elections will not hinder Albania's accession process.
" Europe is so embodied in Albania that I see only a European future for you ," Kos said.
Marta Kos: I do not expect the elections to slow down the EU integration process. It is a deep process and I am sure that those reforms will continue. These reforms are not being carried out by Albania because the EU wants them, but because this is a transformative process for Albania and it will be the citizens who decide what kind of government they will have in the future.
