Alarm in Italy due to bad weather, Civil Protection on alert

Italy's Civil Protection is on alert due to a wave of bad weather expected to hit mainly the regions of Tuscany and Emilia Romagna.
In Florence, the level of the Arno River has risen significantly, while a stream has overflowed in a suburb of the city. In the city of Pistoia, also in Tuscany, it was decided that schools and public parks will remain closed until tomorrow.
In the city of Prato, the mayor also ordered all shops and businesses to remain closed until midnight. As a precaution, in various parts of this central Italian region, residents were asked to leave private homes located on the ground floor.
And in the Emilia Romagna region, the alert for today and tomorrow is "on red", with particular reference to the cities of Bologna, Rimini, Forlì, Cesena and Ferrara and with particular reference to the risk of river flooding.
In Venice, the "Mose" mobile dam system was activated to protect Galinotati from the tidal phenomenon, while, at the same time, temperatures began to resemble summer in almost all of Southern Italy.
