Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted today after the debate and controversy on social networks regarding the spring bonus for pensioners.
In a post on Twitter, he announced the government's decision and stressed that he speaks with full responsibility, denying claims that the bonus will not be distributed.
Rama also announced the specific date for the start of the bonus distribution, which will be March 1, 2025.
"Not only do I not lie, but I speak with full responsibility about what has to do with the task that the people have given me. Since they have the accusation as their vision, the slander as their program, and the lie as their guiding force, everywhere, anytime and for everything, they spread the news that there is no bonus for pensioners! But here is the decision about the bonus was made on January 9 and the distribution starts on March 1. May the pensioners enjoy it and may God see and do good to those who play with their nerves," the prime minister writes.
The decision on the bonus had been taken earlier by the government, but speculation on social networks had raised doubts about its execution. With this reaction, the head of government clarified that the distribution will take place according to the established plan.
