Ferrari SF-25 takes to the track/ Hamilton sits in the red car for the first

Charles Leclerc was the first to take the wheel of the Ferrari SF-25 on its track debut.

With the technical improvements, the Monaco driver and Lewis Hamilton will face off in the Formula 1 World Championship, which starts in less than a month in Australia.

The first session took place on a cool and foggy morning in Fiorano, where the asphalt was not in ideal conditions and temperatures were just above freezing.

However, a large number of fans had gathered since the early hours of the day to follow the "Redhead"'s new car from popular viewing areas around Ferrari's private track.

Leclerc took to the track just before 09:30, about 30 minutes earlier than expected. After greeting the fans, he carried out some starting and braking tests.

Also present in the Ferrari pits was the company's president, John Elkann, who arrived by helicopter before the start of the tests.

In the afternoon, it was Lewis Hamilton's turn to test drive the Ferrari SF-25 for the first time.

The seven-time world champion driver watched Leclerc's first laps from the pits, also making several posts on social media.

The two pilots, along with Ferrari executives, were coming from an event in London for the launch of the new Formula 1 season, which also coincided with the 75th anniversary of the championship.

According to the regulations, Leclerc and Hamilton have the opportunity to cover 250 kilometers in total during the "Shakedown" and "Filming Day" before sending the car and technical equipment to Bahrain, where the only pre-season test session will take place from February 26 to 28 at the Sakhir track.

Unlike recent years, this season the first race of the championship will take place in Australia, at the iconic Albert Park track in Melbourne.
