Mbappé: I need pressure to play well and enjoy football

Kylian Mbappé is having his best moment as a Real Madrid player, scoring regularly in both La Liga and the Champions League, leading the attack of “Los Blancos” with his goals.

The French forward admits that it is not easy to play for Real Madrid, due to the expectations and pressure that surround the club. "It is easy to say that you dream of playing for Real Madrid, but in the end there are players who, under this pressure, do not enjoy the game," Mbappé said in the documentary  "Real Madrid, cómo no te voy a querer" (Real Madrid , how I will never love you), produced by Prime Video and produced by Wakai.

Mbappé explains that for him, pressure is not an obstacle, on the contrary, it helps him perform better. He expresses gratitude for the support of Real Madrid fans, who he says have supported him even before he put on the white shirt:

"I enjoy every moment of the match, I feel the pressure and I like it, because I need it to do well, to play well, to sacrifice for the team, for myself, for training every day. I need to feel this pressure, this love, because the support that the Real fans have given me since day one, and even before, has been incredible. This pressure helps me play better, enjoy the game and help the team with my qualities."

His debut with Real Madrid came with a goal against Atalanta in the European Super Cup final, winning his first trophy as a "madridista": "For me it was a big moment, of course, but I hope we win even more."

After a difficult start to the season, where he had to adapt to his new team, role and position on the pitch, Mbappé has now found his ideal form, scoring in almost every match. He has currently scored 24 goals in all competitions:

16 goals in La Liga, being the second best scorer, with 3 goals behind Lewandowski.

1 goal in the Spanish Super Cup.

1 goal in the European Super Cup.

1 goal in the Club World Cup.

At this rate, the Frenchman aims to win individual trophies and help Real Madrid in the race for seasonal titles.
