"Mom, Dad, I didn't beat you! He beats me so much..."/ Sister reveals details from Xhuana Nikolli's last letter: She wanted us to understand that she was not at fault! Eraldo Fizi called her worthless, but...

In the show "Në Shënjestër" by author Klodiana Lala on News24, the case of Xhuana Nikolli, who ended her life by consuming photoxia after being abused by her ex-husband, is being addressed.
Xhuana, who after experiencing violence from Eraldo, on the evening of March 9-10, decided to end her life by consuming a photoxine tablet in her rented apartment in Tirana. The first person to find her in her final moments was the owner of the apartment, who had received a worried call from Xhuana's sister who lives in Tirana, who had informed her that she was unable to contact Xhuana.
The owner of the apartment, who ran towards the entrance, saw Xhuana lying there, in serious condition. The young woman, although urgently transported to the 'Mother Teresa' University Hospital, could not escape the severe poisoning that the photoxin had caused in her body.
"In November, he came to Tirana, stayed with my sister who lives here. Then he found a house to rent with her friend, until March. The sister in Tirana called Xhuana but Xhuana did not answer. Then the lady of the house went and saw him in that condition. They called the ambulance, the doctor said that he had a very low pulse and...", Marjana recounts.
Xhuana could not say a word about why she took that action. But she left her family a letter that revealed a lot about the violence she had experienced. But at the same time, she hinted that she had been physically abused by Eraldo, before ending her life. Violence apparently led her to the fatal decision to consume photoxine. Perhaps also because she could not accept the fact that the one who raped her was the man she had loved all these years.
Violence that was also confirmed by forensic expertise, where according to Marjana, her sister, signs of violence were visible on her face and body, as well as on her torn sweater. This is why it is thought that there may have been a fight between the two.
"We know that there was only psychological violence, pressure like 'you're not worth it, you'll never have a peaceful life without me'. No physical violence. Physical violence only on the night that Xhuana gave her life.
There are forensic photos that we saw of Xhuana. On the face, on the body, her torn sweatshirt...," said Xhuana's sister.
But what had Juana written in her farewell letter to her loved ones? Why was she careful in this letter to let them know that she had not scolded them, or otherwise embarrassed them?
Was this an accusation that Eraldo often made in the form of psychological pressure and through this sentence addressed to her family, Xhuana tried to tell them that they should remain calm even after her departure. And that whatever justification Eraldo and his family give for the reasons for Xhuana's suicide, they are untrue.
"When he had drunk this, that night he had written a letter. There we realized that he had beaten him.
Mom, Dad, I did not punish you. I did nothing to deserve this. He beat me until I can no longer stand this kind of violence that he has done to me. I love you very much, don't cry. These were the words," the sister recounts.
So it is clear from the letter that Juana left behind that Eraldo exercised physical violence against her.
Violence that must have become systematic recently, but that Juana has certainly kept within herself.
But it is not excluded that this violence was accompanied by psychological terror on the part of Eraldo, with the aim of making Xhuana guilty of their separation. Otherwise, there is no other way to explain that Xhuana cares about the honor of the family in her letter.
