Why Lul Berisha and Durim Bami were transferred to Peqin, SPAK information reveals

A confidential piece of information from the Special Prosecution Office SPAK, forwarded to the General Directorate of Prisons, has led to the transfer of Durim Bami and Lulzim Berisha to the high-security prison in Peqin.
Journalist Elton Qyno has learned that the information report was made several days ago, after a video leaked to the media showing convicts and detainees partying with phones and music in the Durrës detention facilities.
Among these convicts was Lulzim Berisha, the former leader of the Durrës gang, against whom SPAK has imposed the security measure of "prison arrest" for the murder of Klodian Saliu.
SPAK informed the Prisons that Lulzim Berisha's presence in Durrës detention center was compromising security and order, raising strong suspicions of a possible repetition of escape scenes, as happened with Altin Ndoci.
Furthermore, Lulzim Berisha, according to SPAK, maintained real-time contact with people outside prison via telephone.
Therefore, based on this data, SPAK recommended to the General Directorate of Prisons that the detainee Lulzim Berisha be transferred to a high-security prison that was proportionate to the serious charges for which he was investigated and is currently being tried.
It is learned that after the video was published in the media, officers of the Internal Prison Control Service questioned Lulzim Berisha and some of the people who were in that room, referring the investigative material to the Durrës prosecutor's office, on the charge of "Introducing and keeping prohibited items" in the Durrës Penitentiary Institution premises.
Almost the same situation was reflected in the information report for the detainee, Durim Bami, who, just a few days after being transferred from prison no. 313 in Tirana to the Fushë-Krujë prison, was moved again, being transferred to the Fier prison.
SPAK has argued that keeping Durim Bami in the Fushë-Krujë prison poses a potential risk of a possible escape. Since this prison is under reconstruction, it could create the necessary conditions to implement Durim Bami's escape plan from the cell.
Given this situation, the transfer of Durim Bami and Lulzim Berisha to the high-security prison in Peqin has been recommended. /Syri.net
