A 32-year-old Albanian man in England was sentenced to prison for hitting a young couple with his car in revenge.

On the afternoon of September 28, 2023, Olsi Ceka intentionally ran over a boy and a girl as they were walking along the Black Lion Hill, with a blue Peugeot 5008 GT that he had rented a few days earlier.
The court heard that Ceka had targeted them after a verbal argument between his girlfriend and them earlier that afternoon. Half an hour later, Ceka saw them walking on the bridge near Northampton train station, then hit them with his car.
Ceka drove away, leaving the 22-year-old with a broken ankle and the 25-year-old with multiple injuries. Both were taken to hospital for treatment, but their lives are not in danger.
After appearing at Northampton Magistrates' Court on October 28 last year, Ceka submitted the case to the court, where he appeared on January 27 this year and pleaded guilty to four charges.
On Tuesday, March 11, he returned to Northampton Crown Court, where he was sentenced to a total of 49 months in prison.
