Lithuania: Russian Military Intelligence Behind IKEA Arson in 2024

A prosecutor in Lithuania said this morning that Russia's Military Intelligence Service was behind an arson attack on an IKEA store in the Baltic country last year.
According to foreign media, prosecutors said that the arson, which left a furniture warehouse in Vilnius burning down last May, was committed by two Ukrainian citizens, one of whom is a minor.
He added that the crime is being investigated as terrorism and one of the perpetrators has been arrested in Poland, writes A2 CNN.
He also says the same group also oversaw the arson of a shopping mall in Poland last year, which led to the arrest of nine people.
Recall that Russia has been accused of several acts of sabotage against European nations since 2022, including arson, cyberattacks, and election interference.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski accused Russia last year of recruiting saboteurs and paying large sums of money to carry out arson attacks on public infrastructure in Europe.
