Korça Court leaves Kristjan Sterjon in prison, the young man who killed his childhood friend is abandoned by his family

The Korça Court has set the security measure of "prison arrest" for Kristjan Sterjon, who is suspected of shooting his childhood friend, 20-year-old Joan Zuko, to death with a Kalashnikov on Saturday, August 8th.

The hearing for the determination of the security measure took place this Wednesday under strict security conditions. Prosecutor Artenida Toska requested the measure of "prison arrest" for Sterjo, a request that was accepted by the Korça Court.

Numerous police forces were present in the area surrounding the Court, as the institution was surrounded due to the high sensitivity of the case. No family members were present at the hearing, neither from the family of the victim Joan Zuko nor from the family of the suspected perpetrator.
