Flames engulf Mount Terbun in Puka, wind spreads the fire. Suspicions of deliberate arson are raised

Another fire broke out this Friday afternoon in the forested areas of Mount Terbun in Puka. The flames spread rapidly, also favored by strong winds.

The fire and forestry services have arrived in the area of ​​the fire, but the difficult terrain and lack of roads for vehicles have prevented direct intervention.

Currently, Puka firefighters are working with makeshift equipment to isolate the flames on one side of the hearth and prevent the fire from spreading further.

According to preliminary data, the fire does not pose a risk to homes, livestock barns or high-voltage lines in the area.

Meanwhile, due to the circumstances in which the fire started, it is suspected that the fire in Fushë-Lajë on Mount Tërbun may have been intentional.

For this reason, an investigative group has been established, which has begun verifications on Mount Terbun to determine the cause of the fire and whether it was caused by deliberate arson.
