Konjufca responds to Zelensky for not recognizing Kosovo: We were on Ukraine's side from day one, Serbia was not

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reconfirmed that Ukraine does not recognize the independence of Kosovo, a statement that has brought a reaction from Kosovo's acting Foreign Minister, Glauk Konjufca.
Zelensky reiterated Kiev's position during his visit to Serbia, where he met with President Aleksandar Vučić. During a press conference, the Ukrainian president said that Ukraine has not changed its position regarding the recognition of Kosovo.
Following this statement, Konjufca reacted through a post on the X platform, expressing regret for Ukraine's stance. He emphasized that Kosovo has been on Ukraine's side since the first day of large-scale Russian aggression.
" We were on Ukraine's side from the first day of Russian aggression, Serbia was not!" Konjufca wrote, emphasizing that Kosovo has supported Ukraine despite the fact that Kiev does not recognize Kosovo's independence.
According to Konjufca, Kosovo has condemned the Russian occupation, aligned itself with the European Union's foreign and security policy, imposed sanctions on Russia and Belarus, and provided humanitarian, medical and shelter assistance to Ukrainian citizens and journalists. He also mentioned the military assistance and training provided in support of Ukraine's defense.
" We did this despite Ukraine's non-recognition of our state, because solidarity with a people that defends its freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity is a matter of principle ," Konjufca declared.
