A 24-year-old man has been arrested by police in Tirana, after allegedly stalking and threatening a citizen through fake profiles on social networks, with the aim of extorting a sum of money from him.

According to the police, citizen KG, 24 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested, who was caught red-handed while receiving the money.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the 24-year-old, using fake profiles on virtual platforms, has stalked and threatened citizen DP, forcing him to give him a sum of money.

During the operation, a sum of money and two mobile phones were seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution for the criminal offenses **“Stalking”, “Coercion by Threat to Give Up Property”, “Computer Forgery” and “Misuse of Equipment”.
