New details from the murder in Ksamil! The victim turns out to be a Portuguese citizen, a police officer is arrested and the owner of "Principota" is wanted

New details have emerged from the serious incident that occurred in the early hours of the morning in Ksamil, where a foreign tourist lost his life after a conflict in the premises of the "Principote" bar.
Contrary to initial reports, the police have clarified that the victim, who was initially reported as a French citizen, is actually a Portuguese citizen. According to the official announcement, the victim is a citizen with the initials LV, born on September 27, 2005.
38 people have been arrested in connection with the incident, while investigations continue to fully uncover the circumstances and dynamics of the conflict that ended tragically.
The main suspect in the murder is 29-year-old Sokrat Vata, who worked as a bodyguard at “Principote”, through the security company “Elite Security”. According to the information so far, Vata and Moisid Matushaj worked as bodyguards on the premises of the complex.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the conflict began during a party at the "La Guerre" nightclub, part of the "Principote" complex, where the victim was with his friends. After the conflict, the 20-year-old is suspected of being taken out of the premises by Vata, to the area behind the "beach bar", where he was then stabbed.
After the incident, the suspected perpetrator fled the scene of the crime. After about five hours, he was caught in Levan, Fier, while it is suspected that he was trying to flee towards Tirana hidden in the trunk of a vehicle. In the vehicle were a 31-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, both Turkish citizens.
The role of the two Turkish citizens is now part of the investigation. Police are verifying whether they helped Vata leave the scene and under what circumstances he ended up in their vehicle.
Another important development is the arrest of Moisid Matushaj, 24, a resident of Gjirokastër. Matushaj is a police officer, serving as a Specialist Assistant for Criminal Investigation at the Gjirokastër Local Border Directorate. He is suspected of having assisted Sokrat Vata after the murder, facilitating his escape from the scene.
The focus of the investigators is also 36-year-old Bekim Bulica, who has been declared wanted. Bulica, who is also the owner of "Principote", is suspected of having been at the scene of the incident and then fled towards Tirana. The police are verifying his role and the circumstances in which he left after the incident.
Meanwhile, according to investigation sources, the case is expected to expand to include other people. In addition to the detainees and those wanted, investigators are verifying all people who were present at the premises of the bar and who may have knowledge of the conflict or the departure of the suspected perpetrator.
The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues to work on the full documentation of the event, while it is expected that at the conclusion of the first investigative actions, the Police will provide more complete information on the circumstances, the persons involved and the responsibilities of each of them.

Based on preliminary data available in the first moments of the incident, the victim was initially identified as a French citizen, with the initials MM. Following investigative actions and after finding the identification document, it was confirmed that he was a Portuguese citizen, with the initials LV, born on 27.09.2005.
Meanwhile, investigations have also focused on verifying the involvement of two Turkish citizens in whose vehicle the suspected perpetrator was captured, while they were transporting him towards Tirana.
"The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, continues its actions to fully document the legal circumstances of the incident. At the conclusion of the initial investigative actions, there will be a full report regarding this incident," the Police announced.
