Political crisis in Kosovo, Haxhiu: LVV and LDK talk about a consensual President

The consultative meeting called by the acting president of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, regarding the political crisis has concluded.
"We need to talk about the consensual presidential candidate with specific names," Ms. Haxhiu emphasized. She underlined that without an agreement on the president, the country risks going to new elections.
According to Ms. Haxhiu, Kurti will soon begin discussions with the LDK on a consensual presidential candidate. The Acting President said that the leader of Vetëvendosje announced at the meeting that he has the votes for the Speaker of the Parliament and the formation of the government, but an agreement is needed for the president.
Regarding the warnings of protests by the former opposition, Haxhiu said that those political forces must state the cause of the protest. Kurti stressed after the meeting that he will not call for the continuation of the constitutive session without an agreement on the president.
The three main opposition parties, PDK, LDK and Aleanca, were absent from the consultative meeting. Meanwhile, as in previous days, PDK members and deputies surrounded the prime minister's office demanding the resumption of the interrupted constitutive session.
