Memaliaj residents protest again against territorial reform

Memaliaj continues to be at the center of opposition to the government's proposed territorial reform. Residents of the city have once again taken to the streets to protest, expressing their concern about the announced changes and the impact they could have on the local community.

Last evening, in the main square of Memaliaj, another protest took place, where numerous citizens opposed the territorial reform and demanded that the community's voice be taken into consideration before any decision is made.

Protesters demand the protection of Memaliaj's identity, arguing that any change in administrative boundaries must also take into account the interests and needs of the residents.

According to them, territorial changes should not be made solely on the basis of administrative divisions, but should also guarantee representation, accessible services, and the preservation of the community's historical and social ties.

Protests are expected to continue in the coming days, as the residents of Memaliaj demand that their objections be heard and taken into account during the territorial reform discussion process.
