A disturbing event was recorded yesterday in North Macedonia, where the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), branch in Çair, was the one that strongly condemned the desecration of murals with the figure of Adem Jashari, Commander Teli, the KLA emblem, and other symbols of the Albanian war.
According to DUI, this act is made even more serious due to the moment it occurred, as it was recorded on the anniversary of the massacre in which Commander Teli was killed.
"We cannot help but worry about the atmosphere that is being created in the country. A politically subjugated government has created a terrain where radical nationalist elements feel increasingly encouraged to provoke Albanians, to touch their language, symbols and now even the figures of martyrs. Yesterday, the Albanian language was removed from state signs in Tabanovec. Today, Adem Jashari, Commander Teli and the KLA emblem in Çair are being desecrated ," the reaction states.
It further requested the competent authorities, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to urgently identify the perpetrators, clarify the motives for this action and hold them accountable. Finally, it stressed that it respects and will continue to respect every community and citizen.
