One of the most well-known journalists not only in Germany, Walter Mayr, correspondent for the largest European magazine, 'Spiegel', has given a long interview to the newspaper 'Die Presse'.
The legendary journalist, who has been reporting for more than 37 years, spoke about his career spanning four decades.
Also in the interview, he talks about his recently published book, titled 'Granzfaelle' (Border Issues).
The legendary reporter has traveled and reported from every post-communist country.
But among other things, journalist Christian Ultsch asks him what the most unpleasant encounter or experience he has had with a politician is.
Mayr says that the most unpleasant encounter was with Edi Rama, who threatened him on the phone.
Mayr also adds that Edi Rama is a politician grotesquely overrated by the West.
What was your most unpleasant experience/encounter with a politician?
Particularly unpleasant was Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. One night, he indirectly threatened me on the phone and complained to my editor-in-chief because he didn't like the way the reporting was done.
In my opinion, Rama is a politician that the West grotesquely overestimates, not to say pampers.
