New details have come to light from the brawl that occurred a few days ago at the high-security prison in Fier, where two prisoners were injured.
According to media reports, the two prisoners involved in the conflict were not cellmates and were in different sectors of the prison.
According to a person with knowledge of the incident, two of the prisoners had gone to visit another prisoner. They met with him and, after talking, suggested they sit down together for a coffee.
According to the testimony, Denis Bajra agreed to join them and the three sat together. At first, the meeting was normal, and those involved even exchanged greetings and hugs, as they had known each other before.
But the situation changed when they sat down for coffee. That's when the argument between them began, which later escalated into a physical conflict and ended with two of the prisoners being injured.
The exact motive for the argument remains unclear. The people involved have not, at least so far, given a full version of what caused the clash, while the motive is being investigated by the relevant prison structures and the Prosecutor's Office.
The source contacted states that the prisoners have given only a superficial version of the event, claiming that they knew each other and that the conflict began during a conversation over coffee.
After the incident, security measures were immediate. The other two prisoners were transferred from the Fier prison. According to preliminary information, one was sent to Burrel, while the other to Korça. Only Denis Bajra remained in the Fier prison.
