Yesterday, political parties submitted to the CEC the candidates who will compete in the May 11 elections.

But what stood out in the candidate lists of the "Albania Becomes Initiative" was the placement of their family members at the top of the safe lists for deputies.

To answer the questions that circulated today regarding this fact, Endri Shabani was on a Skype call for the 'Opinion' show on TV Klan this evening.

Shabani explained how their candidate lists were compiled.

According to him, the "Albania Becomes Initiative" has run in the May 11, 2025 elections with open lists. and he, Adriatik Lapaj and Pano Soko have been placed at the bottom of the lists.

Shabani also stated that due to the open and closed lists, they have chosen a legal artifice. However, since the first names considered on the closed list are not voted on, leaders Shabani and Lapaj have agreed with their top candidates to resign and the mandate will be passed on to their successors.

For this reason, Shabani emphasized, their family members have decided to resign first.

"We have come out on an open list. Everyone, including me, Adriatik Lapaj, Pano Soko, will be ranked based on the votes they receive personally."

The only solution we had, that's why we also appointed family members to pave the way for the new generation. We have 80-year-olds who will pave the way for the new generation.

"They will resign before the vote counting begins. I myself am at the bottom of the list. We have come out on an open list with the voters. The first 12 will go and withdraw from the mandate without any problem," said Endri Shabani.
