A tragic event occurred this Monday, when a 37-year-old woman who was in her 7th month of pregnancy lost her life after health complications. It is learned that the mother had presented herself at the Pogradec hospital.
According to reports, the 37-year-old had severe abdominal pain for 24 hours, which she had endured at home and had not received medical attention.
Upon arrival at the Pogradec Hospital, doctors determined that the woman had blood in her abdomen and she was resuscitated until her condition stabilized. The young mother was also given blood at the Pogradec Hospital.
Seeing that the woman suffered health complications, doctors decided to send her to Tirana. But her condition worsened on the way to the capital and she was sent to the Elbasan Maternity Hospital.
Although doctors intervened, the young mother was unable to survive and passed away in this institution.
