AFSA report for the 7 months: SIGAL paid over 16 million euros in damages

According to the 7-month report for 2026, published by the Financial Supervisory Authority, SIGAL INSURANCE GROUP remains the Albanian company with the highest value of claims paid in the insurance industry and with the largest market share.
The company holds 26.2% of the market, in terms of gross written premium volume for the period January-July 2026, and claims 28.15% of the insurance industry's total payments.
Over 16 million euros, during the period January-July 2026, is the amount of the company's compensation. 12,556 cases of damage were paid by SIGAL in accordance with their contracts and the legislation in force. 12,556 concrete evidence of correct and prompt payments, in accordance with the insurance contracts and the legislation in force.
As evidence of sustainability, performance and diversification in the market, the fact that the company has about half of its sales volume from voluntary products, while the industry average is below 33%.
According to the report, the insurance industry paid out 12% more claims than the same period a year ago and in terms of gross written premiums it increased by 2.86%.
