The Mayor of Himara, Vangjel Tavo, has issued a response regarding the earthquake that was recorded shortly after midnight in the south of the country.
Through a post on social media, Tavo announced that the Himara Municipality and Civil Emergencies Structures will be on the ground to monitor the situation and to carry out the identification and assessment of any possible damage in the affected areas.
He also called on all residents to immediately call the Himara Municipality structures if they have noticed damage to their homes as a result of the earthquake.

During the night, at 00:35, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 was recorded, with an epicenter in the Lukovë area, Himara Municipality, at a depth of about 5 km.
The structures of the Himara Municipality and Civil Emergencies will be on the ground to monitor the situation and to carry out the identification and assessment of any possible damage in the affected areas.
We call on all residents, if they have noticed damage to their homes, buildings or infrastructure, to immediately notify the structures of the Himara Municipality.
