Over 40 kg of cocaine seized from Brazil at the Port of Durres, with a market value of 2 million euros

A significant amount of cocaine was seized at the Port of Durres this Monday,

As part of the police operation codenamed "Anchor 3", 41 kg and 350 grams of cocaine were seized, with a market value of around 2 million euros.

The cocaine was discovered as police services conducted a detailed search of a container originating from Brazil, which, according to the documentation, was transporting chicken meat.

During the inspection of the container, 37 packages of suspected cocaine were found on its outer lids.

The police continue to take action to fully document the case, determine the origin and destination of the narcotics, and identify and apprehend the citizens involved in this criminal activity.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.

Within a month, 3 cases of attempted smuggling of narcotics into Albania were foiled through the Port of Durres.

As part of the police operation codenamed "Anchor 3", 41 kg and 350 grams of cocaine were seized, with a market value of around 2 million euros.

The operation was carried out by the Narcotics Investigation Sector of the Durrës Police Department, in cooperation with the Durrës Local Directorate for Border and Migration and the customs structures of the Port of Durrës, as part of the investigation into a case of narcotics trafficking.

At the Port of Durres, Police services conducted a detailed inspection of a container originating from Brazil, which, according to the documentation, was transporting chicken meat.

During the inspection of the container, 37 packages of suspected cocaine were found on its outer lids.

The total amount of suspected narcotics was 41 kg and 350 grams, while its value is estimated at around 2 million euros.

The investigative structures of the Durrës DVP continue their actions to fully legalize the case, determine the origin and destination of the narcotics, as well as identify and capture the citizens involved in this criminal activity.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
